Why did we need another book in between Unravel Me and Ignite Me? However, after reading it, I can confidently say that Fracture Me is necessary and adds depth to the overall story.
Firstly, Fracture Me gives us a glimpse into Adam’s point of view. Throughout the series, we only see things through Juliette’s eyes and her distorted thoughts. Getting inside Adam’s head allows us to understand his actions and emotions better. We see his struggles with being a soldier for The Reestablishment and his internal conflict between duty and love for Juliette.
Moreover, Fracture Me adds layers to Adam’s character. In Unravel Me, he comes across as cold and distant towards Juliette at times. But in Fracture Me, we see that it is not out of malice but out of fear. He is afraid of losing control of his powers and hurting the people he loves. This novella humanizes him and makes him a more relatable character.
